Saturday 24th September 2011 was a busy day for Bigday Catering! We catered for three events across the region:
A Birthday Hog Roast in out home town of Royston, Hertfordshire. Isobel Porter celebrated her 40th Birthday with a party for 80 friends and family who all feasted on superb hog rolls served with a selection of salads and new potatoes.
At The Chilford Hall in Linton, Cambridgeshire Bigday BBQ’d a wonderful wedding breakfast for the happy couple and their guests.
After the ceremony that took place at the venue everyone enjoyed reception drinks of Pimms and Lemonade, Orange Juice or Corona’s.
The posh BBQ meal with served on platters to the tables, along with bowls and jars of vegetables and salads, everyone really appreciated the comfortable, leisurely, social style of dining.
Speeches were untraditionally toasted with Baby Guinness’s; shots of Tia Maria and Baileys which was a nice change from the norm.
In the evening everyone celebrated a lovely day with their share of Hog Roast.
It was also Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s wedding day – they had a church ceremony followed by a beautiful reception at Marks Hall in Essex.
On arrival guests were welcomed with Bucks Fuzz and couldn’t wait to tuck into the sweet stall, even before their three course wedding breakfast was served.
Bigday provided the mobile bar for this event, so everyone had plenty available to drink throughout the day. As the dancing went on all evening and whilst the Hog Roast was served outside.
It seems autumn is currently a ready good time to celebrate your occasion as the weather has been so good at this time of year. Why not plan a September or October event next year?
