Bigday Catering had a busy bank holiday weekend.
On Friday 26th August 2011 we catered for Chris Wells and Emma Kris Wedding which was held at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden.
Saturday 27th August 2011 then saw Bigday catering for Samantha Partridge and Lee Kempton’s wedding held in a marquee in Bar Hill.
Both events were very elegant and ran smoothly.
The Well’s wedding celebration was set in Luton Hoo’s permanent marquee found in their well maintained and flourishing gardens.
Chris and Emma’s decided on a wedding breakfast consisting of:
Baked Camembert with red onion marmalade and toast
**
Chicken stuffed with asparagus served with roasted new potatoes, red pepper sauce and seasonal vegetables
**
Trio of chocolate torte, lemon posset and raspberry cheesecake
There were many children at the wedding so working alongside Emma and Chris we created a menu that would guarantee to have the children smiling.
Carrot and Cucumber sticks with cheese dip
**
Breaded Chicken Goujons with potatoes and baked beans
**
Chocolate profiteroles
The chocolate profiteroles are always a favourite with all ages!
Chris and Emma’s colour scheme for their wedding consisted of a deep mauve purple with white flowers. Chair covers had purple bows, purple fairy lights decorated the ceiling and the cake was decorated with purple flowers. All 13 tables were set very uniquely, the name cards were like no other, with silly photos of the guests instead of words. Something that we would recommend, as it was really fun, but time consuming I’m sure!
Pimms and lemonade was offered to all guests on arrival and despite the rain it was a wonderful reception. At 4pm the bride and groom welcomed everyone into dinner with a receiving line. But before food was served the occasion, started with the traditional speeches: brides father, groom and the 2 best men.
By the evening Bigdays mobile bar was fully flowing with a selection of beers including: Stella, Fosters and John Smiths and a wide variety of liqueurs and spirits.
150 friends and family of Emma and Chris were making full use of the bar and munched on the evening Hog roast. Along side this there was a buffet of:
* A selection of salads, Bigday’s amazing Coleslaw*
*Home baked breads*
*A trio of Cheese ‘cake’ –
And not forgetting the crackers and Chutney!
What a fantastic event! Bigday loved working alongside with Emma and Chris to make sure their day was perfect. We wish them every happiness in their future together.
However the weekend of events had only just begun….
